  • Q - Who will maintain content on my website?

    A -

    All the mortgage-related product information that Mortgage Pro supplied will be maintained by Mortgage Pro. We monitor the market every day and will update the website should there be any market changes, legislative amendments, Budget announcements, FCA rulings etc.

    If you have added text to your website using the content management system (CMS) then it’s your responsibility to maintain the text and keep it up to date.

  • Q - When my website is ready to launch, how can I get it compliance-approved by my network or compliance officer?

    A -

    As part of the set-up costs, we take care of all this for you. When placing your order, we ask you for details of your network provider. When we’ve completed all the amendments you have asked for and the site has been signed off, we’ll submit your website to the network.

    The network will then send us any amendments they require and we’ll liaise with them until they’re completely satisfied and your website is approved.

    Once we have approval, we will make your site live.

    As part of the licence fee Mortgage Pro monitor all clients’ websites and, one month before compliance approval for your website runs out, we will resubmit the site to your network, compliance team or compliance officer for re-approval.

    Just as we do when obtaining initial approval, we will liaise with your compliance people until they’re satisfied that the website is compliant and are able to provide another twelve months’ approval.

    Just as we do when obtaining initial approval, we will liaise with your compliance people until they’re satisfied that the website is compliant and are able to provide another twelve months’ approval.

    It’s unlikely there will be any major issues because we continually monitor all content and website requirements from a compliance perspective. Therefore, anything a compliance team might find altered since the last time they looked at the site will almost certainly have been dealt with during the twelve-month period.

    However, should the compliance team identify anything that must be changed, we will provide a solution free of charge, as this is covered by your licence fee.

  • Q - Do I have to write the content for my website?

    No. Mortgage Pro has over 30 plus pages of dedicated text covering all the main mortgage services and products on the market. (this excludes Bronze sites which have service paragraphs)

    You can choose which pages you want to feature and we’ll upload them onto the website at your chosen location within the menu structure.

    If you however want to add your own pages you most certainly can with our Gold or Silver websites which come with a Content Management System.

    Our technical support team will help you decide whether it might be beneficial to move your domain to Mortgage Pro so that, as a Nominet registrar, we can manage it for you. Alternatively, we can change the DNS settings in the control panel for the domain hosted by your current provider, pointing the domain correctly to our servers. We can then pick up your new website.

    Whatever situation applies, our experienced support team will take care of everything for you.

    If you want to make sure the domain name you want isn’t going to be taken by someone else, and you know it’s available at present, we would recommend that you secure it before it's too late.

    We can register your domain and set it up now, so that you can use it for email purposes immediately. Quite a few Mortgage Pro clients have their domains reserved for later use.

    The website can be displayed on the domain when you’re ready. In the meantime, we can set up a holding page, to let your clients and prospects know the new website is coming soon.
